LONDON. AFTER. MIDNIIIIGGGHHHHTTTT!!!!!!!!

i introduce to you. THE BAND THAT MADE ME GOTH!!!! i was little baby beau, only 13, only JUST getting into music properly. one day i thought hm. wonder what this goth stuff is about... so i put on some random spotify playlist and after a couple "nononono i don't wanna go to the talent show" LAM APPEARED BEFORE ME. and i was just so amazed!!! it was such a distinctive sound with a real groove to it, something you could really move to, so elegant, so powerful!!! then i got totally obessed with sean brennan, i mean his cello and all and his hair i just thought he was ssooo amazing. i kept him as my lockscreen...heh... but someone who meant da world to me at the time made fun of me. so i hid it away again... (＃￣ω￣) UNTIL I KICKED HIM OUTTA MY LIFE AND TRANSFORMED LIKE A MAGICAL GIRL INTO A GOTH!!!! FUCK. YEAAAHHHHH!!!!! so LAM always has had a special place in my heart, because they're a band i really got into on my own, they were really comfortable to me, and they introduced me to punk ideas too with their more political songs. below is my fave LAM track, YOUR BEST NIGHTMARE, which i really love i don't know why when i first listened to it i just found it very silly and passionate and it sounds great obviously so. you know!!

the LORE.....

LAM was formed in the late 80s early 90s ish by sean himself with the original lineup of himself, eddie hawkins (guitar, later replaced), john koviak (bass, 89-92) and ian haas (drums, 88-82). the band is named after a lost 1927 horror silent film (super fitting),,, they started their career by performing live in LA at the helter skelter, which has hosted bands like christian death and nine inch nails. ssoo yeah they were super popular very quickly selling out shows in those clubs and reaching as far as europe and australia, they just kinda kept pumpin out music not too sure what else to tell you... more recently in 2022 oddities too was released which had some never seen before osngs and stuff. obviously yes with most bands like ever there are allegations about sean but there's like no actual source i can find of any of it so i can't prove or disprove this. k. honestly as a band they don't really interest me (like rhcp does) but i still love their music..!!!
